- Non-confidential public health data is released in an aggregated form to protect against the identification of individuals. Data requests for subpopulations, individual years, or small geographic areas may be unavailable due to a small number of cases. Small numbers can be unreliable or potentially identifiable.
- All requests for individual record level, or data with personal identifiers (i.e. date of birth, address, or names) will require approval of the Epidemiology Supervisor and the HIPAA Privacy Officer.
- All requests made for the purpose of conducting research must be approved through PHDMC’s Research Review Panel.
