Refugee Clinic
Refugees are people who fear being persecuted and escape or are forced to leave their country. Catholic Social Services, Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, and Public Health work closely to assure the best services are given to each refugee. Refugees come to Dayton through the US State Departments Relocation Program.
Public Health screens refugees within 30 - 90 days of arrival to help identify any medical barriers and treat any immediate health issues. During the screening, the refugees watch a video in their language to introduce them to the U.S. healthcare system.
