Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention will be launching a 1- hour virtual tai chi for arthritis workshop. The workshop will consist of an 8-week series hosting a maximum of 15 eligible participants per workshop.

Since our program is through the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) there are some requirements that need to be met.

  • Participants Must attend the first class before attending the follow session.
  • Participants must be 18 years or older, a Montgomery County resident, & diagnosed with arthritis or at risk of falling.
  • Must Complete a Participant info. form (Pre-Survey) before class begins and Post-survey at the end. If individuals need help filling out a survey that can be directed to the assigned instructor.
  • Waiver will also need to be signed before class begins.
  • Each Instructor are required to teach two workshops
  • Each workshop can be an 8 or 16 -week series. Since we are trying to meet the deadline for ODH we will start off with doing a total of 4 8-week workshops between both instructors.
  • Incentives will be given away on the 4th week and at the 8th week of the workshop. Participants must attend those classes to receive incentives.
